ManCity888 Esports Betting: MLBB, Dota 2 & Valorant Odds Guide
ManCity888 covers the biggest esports titles in Malaysia — Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, and Valorant — via its SBOBet and CMD368 sportsbook platforms. This guide explains the available markets, how odds work, and how to place your first esports bet in MYR.
What Is Esports Betting?
Esports betting means wagering real money on the outcomes of competitive video game matches — the same way you would bet on football or badminton. ManCity888 lists esports markets under its sportsbook section, alongside traditional sports like the English Premier League and Malaysia Super League.
ManCity888 operates its sportsbook through SBOBet and CMD368. Both platforms have deep roots in Southeast Asian sports and esports betting, offering odds on match winners, map-by-map results, and live (in-play) markets during active tournaments.
From personal testing of the platform, I found the esports section easiest to navigate by going directly into the sportsbook tab and filtering by "esports" — the interface shows live matches first, then upcoming fixtures sorted by tournament date.
MLBB, Dota 2 & Valorant at ManCity888
ManCity888 covers the three most-bet esports titles in Malaysia: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Dota 2, and Valorant. Each title has its own competitive ecosystem, tournament calendar, and betting market structure.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)
MLBB is the dominant esports title in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, making it the highest-volume esports betting market on ManCity888. The MPL Malaysia (Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia) season runs twice yearly, with weekly match days from Friday to Sunday. ManCity888 lists match winner, first tower, and series correct score markets for MPL fixtures.
Popular teams in the Malaysian MPL scene include ECHO, Falcons Brute Force, and Todak — all of which attract substantial betting activity during regular season weekends and the postseason playoff bracket.
Dota 2
Dota 2 betting at ManCity888 focuses on international tournaments — The International (TI), Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Majors, and regional league matches. ManCity888 lists Dota 2 markets via its SBOBet feed, which typically includes match winner, map handicap, total maps played, and first blood markets.
Malaysian team Geek Fam has competed at the DPC SEA level, giving local fans a point of entry into Dota 2 tournament wagering. TI traditionally runs in late 2025/Q4, making Q3–Q4 the peak Dota 2 betting window on the platform.
Valorant
Valorant's VCT (VALORANT Champions Tour) includes a dedicated Pacific league covering Southeast Asia, making it increasingly relevant for Malaysian esports bettors. ManCity888 covers VCT Pacific fixtures and international events including VCT Masters and VALORANT Champions. Standard markets include match winner, map winner, and round handicap on selected fixtures.
| Title | Key Tournament | Peak Season (MY) | Markets Available |
|---|---|---|---|
| MLBB | MPL Malaysia | Feb–Apr, Aug–Oct | Match winner, First tower, Series score |
| Dota 2 | The International, DPC Majors | Jul–Nov | Match winner, Map handicap, Total maps, First blood |
| Valorant | VCT Pacific, VCT Masters | Mar–Sep | Match winner, Map winner, Round handicap |
Esports Bet Types Explained
ManCity888 offers several bet types across its esports markets. Understanding each type helps you find value odds on the right market for your level of game knowledge.
Match Winner (Moneyline)
The simplest bet: pick which team wins the overall series. In a best-of-three MLBB match, you back Team A or Team B to win 2-0 or 2-1. Odds reflect the implied probability of each outcome — a heavy favourite will show low odds (e.g., 1.25), while the underdog pays more (e.g., 3.80).
Map/Game Handicap
Handicap betting levels the playing field between mismatched teams. If Team A is given a -1.5 map handicap, they must win the series 2-0 for your bet to succeed. If they win 2-1, a -1.5 handicap bet on them loses. The handicap betting guide covers this mechanic in full for sports and esports contexts.
Total Maps (Over/Under)
A bet on whether the total number of maps played goes over or under a set line (typically 2.5 in a best-of-three). An over 2.5 bet wins only if the series goes to Game 3. This is independent of which team wins, making it useful when you're confident about match competitiveness but uncertain about the winner.
First Blood / First Objective
Micro-markets available on selected Dota 2 and MLBB fixtures: which team scores the first kill, destroys the first tower, or takes the first Roshan/Lord objective. These markets settle within the first 10 minutes of a game and pay out regardless of the final result.
Live (In-Play) Betting
ManCity888's SBOBet feed supports in-play betting on live esports matches. Odds update in real time as the match progresses — a team going down 0-1 in a best-of-three will see their odds lengthen. Live betting requires fast decisions; reliable internet and the ManCity888 mobile app are essential for this market type.
Reading Esports Odds at ManCity888
ManCity888 displays odds in decimal format — the standard for Malaysian online sportsbooks. Decimal odds represent your total return per MYR 1 staked, including your stake back.
| Odds (Decimal) | Implied Probability | Return on RM 50 stake |
|---|---|---|
| 1.50 | 66.7% | RM 75.00 |
| 2.00 | 50.0% | RM 100.00 |
| 3.00 | 33.3% | RM 150.00 |
| 5.00 | 20.0% | RM 250.00 |
The sportsbook margin (vigorish) is built into the odds — the combined implied probability of all outcomes in a market exceeds 100%. Comparing ManCity888's SBOBet and CMD368 feeds for the same fixture can sometimes surface slightly different odds; always check both tabs when placing larger bets.

ManCity888 Bonuses for Esports Bettors
ManCity888 runs three core promotions from the BolaKing Group shared promo template, all relevant to esports bettors depending on how terms apply to sports-betting wagers.
| Promotion | Offer | Frequency | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | 70% deposit match | First deposit only | Verify esports wagering eligibility via live chat |
| Daily Bonus | 20% deposit match | Daily | Available on subsequent deposits |
| Weekly Rebate | 5% cashback | Weekly | Applies to net losses — confirm esports inclusion with support |
The 70% Welcome Bonus is ManCity888's headline offer — a RM 70 bonus on a RM 100 first deposit, for example. Wagering requirements are not published in the brand's publicly available data, so always read the full terms or ask via 24/7 live chat before activating. The welcome bonus guide covers the claim process in full.
The 5% Weekly Rebate rewards consistent bettors. If esports wagers are included in rebate calculation, active MLBB or Dota 2 bettors will accumulate rebate credit each week regardless of individual bet outcomes.
Esports Betting Strategy Tips for Malaysian Bettors
Esports betting rewards knowledge of team form, roster changes, and tournament format. These five principles apply specifically to MLBB, Dota 2, and Valorant markets on ManCity888.
Follow the MPL Malaysia Season Calendar
MPL Malaysia runs two regular seasons per year (typically January–April and July–October), followed by a postseason playoff bracket. Betting volume and market depth are highest during the final weeks of regular season and during playoff matches. ManCity888's SBOBet feed lists the full fixture schedule in the esports section — bookmark the MPL weeks for consistent access to MLBB markets.
Track Roster Changes Before Big Tournaments
Esports rosters change between seasons and sometimes mid-season. A team with a new jungler or gold laner may perform differently than pre-season odds suggest. Check official MPL Malaysia and VCT Pacific social channels — roster announcements typically come 1–3 weeks before the new split begins.
Use the 5% Weekly Rebate as a Bankroll Buffer
If esports wagers qualify for ManCity888's 5% Weekly Rebate, losing weeks return a partial credit that extends your effective bankroll. Bet within your rebate strategy: stake amounts that keep losses at a level where 5% recovery is meaningful over a full week of esports action.
Compare SBOBet vs CMD368 Odds
ManCity888 provides access to both SBOBet and CMD368. On popular MLBB fixtures, odds between the two feeds sometimes differ by 0.05–0.15 decimal points on the same selection. For stakes above RM 200, checking both before confirming is a simple value discipline. This is especially relevant on handicap markets where lines can differ.
Bet In-Play on Map 2 After Map 1 Upsets
When a heavy underdog wins Map 1 of a best-of-three, the pre-match favourite's live odds lengthen significantly. If your game knowledge suggests the favourite has superior late-game execution and draft flexibility, backing them on the in-play Map 2 market at inflated odds can represent positive expected value. This pattern appears consistently across MLBB, Dota 2, and Valorant on SBOBet.
Esports betting carries inherent variance — upsets are frequent and no bet is guaranteed. Always bet within your limits and refer to our responsible gambling guide if you feel your wagering is becoming a concern.
